Created for the Journée des Portes Ouvertes (JPO) at L’École Supérieure de Design de Troyes in 2014, this printed illustration, integrated into a spiral staircase which covers 3 floors invites visitors to engage with the design discipline. It is a visual representation of the perception of oneself beyond the craft. The visitor is encouraged upon arrival to the building to “look up” a representation of the humble approach designers shall consider during their studies, during their craft as professionals and to encourage future students to reflect on the dedication of great designers including Matali Crasset and Bruno Munari.
